Helping young people create a career in the marine industry

Cardiff Sailing Centre are delighted to be supporting the British Sailing Team this summer by joining Cardiff Bay Yacht Club to host a Sail for Gold Roadshow event on Wednesday 17th August 2016.

Based in Cardiff, the Reardon Smith Nautical Trust aims to help young people fulfil their dreams of pursuing a career in the nautical and maritime industries by undergoing training in areas, such as sailing, marine engineering, marine law and hydrographic surveying.

The charity has teamed up with Cardiff Harbour Authority to launch ‘The Reardon Smith Sailing Academy’, to give people who live in Cardiff the opportunity to enrol on sailing courses, with 95% off the fees. Taking place at Cardiff Sailing Centre on Cardiff Bay Barrage, the training is designed to equip students with life changing skills, and the ability and confidence needed to build a career in the maritime industry.
